Marketing Manager
FOOD PATRONUS | Probably a slice of baguette or a croissant with an irresponsible amount of butter, raspberry jam, and ideally dunked in a delicious hot chocolate. Technically a classic French breakfast, but I’d eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner without hesitation.
EARLY DAYS | Born in France (so hospitality is basically in my DNA) and raised across France, Spain, England, and the US—basically a walking passport. All that moving around made me realize the best way to understand a place is through its food. At home, meals weren’t just about eating—they were about gathering, talking, and connecting (and never lasted less than 2 hours).
EDUCATION | First off: GO BLUE! Now moving on. Growing up, I was the kid that was always drawing. Like, actually all the time (I mean, when I moved to Spain at 8, I even used drawing to communicate because I couldn’t speak a word of Spanish). So, obviously, I went to the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art and Design to study what I loved, which was an absolute dream come true. But it also made me realize I didn’t want to spend my life behind an easel. I ended up deciding to add a second major in Communication & Media, and that’s when I fell in love with media and marketing. After graduating, I still felt like there was more to learn. With a family full of entrepreneurs, I’ve always been drawn to the idea of starting my own business one day, but I didn’t have any business knowledge. So, I went back for a Masters in Business Management, where marketing classes became my sweet spot. A mix of creativity and business? Perfect fit.
BACKGROUND CHECK | Well, fun fact: being a Brand Manager at New Waterloo is my first "big girl" job, so I’m feeling pretty fortunate. Before that, I worked as a barista throughout college, which I absolutely loved. I also gained hands-on experience working for a student-run fashion magazine as a manager for the photography department, and worked with a student-run marketing and ad agency, helping local Ann Arbor businesses who couldn’t afford full-time marketing support.
I started at New Waterloo in November 2024—so yes, I’m still the new kid, but I’ve already learned so much. As Marketing Manager for New Waterloo and our Roundabout community—Mañana Dos, Trick Hat Workway, and Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop—I get to work closely with each concept to help them grow, hit their goals, and create awesome guest experiences along the way. One of my favorite parts? How collaborative the role is. I’ve been able to dip my toes into other departments and learn about areas I’ve never worked in before, which has been such a fun bonus.
HOSPITALITY PHILOSOPHY | To me, hospitality is about creating little pockets of time where the outside world fades and people just feel good.
FAVE THING ABOUT NW | The people, hands down. Everyone is so supportive, collaborative, and genuinely wants to see each other thrive. And a special shoutout to the marketing team for being the most creative, quick-witted bunch—makes showing up every day a whole lot more fun.
SUPER POWER | I make never-ending lists of restaurants and places to try in every city I visit, all neatly divided into categories (I know, it’s a bit much, but at least I've always got recommendations)
