FOOD PATRONUS | Chips, queso, and a cold margarita.
ROOTS | I was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but moved to Austin when I was five, which basically makes me a lifelong Austin kid.
My earliest lessons in hospitality came straight from my Mississippi grandmothers, who could not have been more different. One hosted with precision — think beautifully set tables, menus curated from whatever cookbook her supper club was testing that month, every detail just so. The other cooked entirely from instinct, never once glanced at a recipe, and filled her farmhouse kitchen with the sounds of a loud, happy family circling up for meals that were somehow perfect every single time.
Somewhere between the artful table and the joyful chaos, I learned how food and setting can make people feel, and that’s where hospitality hooked me.
SMARTS | Hook ’Em! I studied Art History, with a side of business and French, on the 40 Acres at UT Austin. But honestly, my favorite education has always been the “on-the-job” kind. I love a new challenge, and there’s nothing better than being tossed into the deep end and figuring out how to swim.
BODY OF WORK | I started my career at a sports & entertainment company, where no two days looked alike. One minute I was working music festivals, the next helping open a bike shop, managing a cycling team, or curating sponsor hospitality at major international sporting events.
That hands-on hospitality experience led me to Hotel Ella, where I served as the National Sales & Marketing Manager when it opened in 2014. I also spent time with ALL ATX Leadership, partnering with music and civic leaders committed to keeping Austin the “Live Music Capital of the World.”
Eventually, I found my way back to New Waterloo — excited for the growth, the creativity, and the never-a-dull-moment energy that still keeps me here.
HOSPITALITY PHILOSOPHY | People might forget what you said or did, but they never forget how you made them feel.
FAVE THING ABOUT NW | No two days are ever the same. I get to connect people, build community, and help shape places that feel meaningful.
SUPER POWER | Organized chaos whisperer. I can take a dozen moving pieces and make them feel seamless.
