Karla began her career in hospitality with the Four Seasons in Chicago. After a year, she joined the Omni Chicago Hotel, where she served as Director of Food and Beverage Outlets for five years. During her time there, she successfully opened the outdoor restaurant Café 676 while also managing the hotel’s six food and beverage outlets and banquets. In 2012, she became the Director of Banquets of Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, where she served for two years before returning to Chicago as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Wit Hotel. Karla joined the South Congress Hotel team as Food & Beverage Director in August 2017. Outside of work, she enjoys collecting rare whiskies and vintage wines, as well as running her English bulldog’s Instagram (@misterharol). Her spirit food is sushi.
